Want an excellent way to promote Rotary in this our special Centennial year? Rotary Matamata has produced a number plate surround that allows Rotarians from around the country to mark this special occasion in a lasting way.

Rotary is celebrating the establishment of the first clubs in New Zealand and Australia in 1921 (Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney). 100 years on Rotary is more diverse and community-focused than ever but still faces challenges to be recognised for the work we do.
Rotary Matamata project co-ordinator David Hulme says the plate surrounds are an excellent way to promote Rotary’s 100 years of service in New Zealand, both in this the 100th year and in years to come.
“We should all be proud to be members of such an amazing organisation and this is a great way for you to show that in an inexpensive but lasting manner,” David says. The plate surrounds will be sold throughout New Zealand, utilising a distribution club in each of the other Districts, making this a truly nationwide centennial project. “We have already had pre-orders for more than 100 sets,” David says “so we think the initial 1500 production run will sell out reasonably quickly. “It would be best to get in quick to avoid disappointment because once we have sold the 1500 sets, there is no guarantee we will be able to get more.”

At just $15 for a set of two surrounds, these are a great way to advertise Rotary. “Car dealerships have been using plate surrounds for decades to advertise and this is an opportunity for you to do the same with your membership of Rotary,” David says.
District 9930 Rotarians are likely to see members of Rotary Matamata attending their meetings in the coming months to promote these surrounds but you can also contact David to order sets.  “If we can get a club to organise one order for the number of sets they wish to have this would be ideal in assisting with keeping distribution costs down,” David says.
