Matamata has an active and friendly Inner Wheel closely associated with Rotary Matamata

Inner Wheel is an International organisation whose objectives are:
- to promote true friendship
- to encourage the ideals of personal service
- to foster international understanding
Inner Wheel clubs work together around the world to make a difference and improve lives. They are active in 103 countries, have more than 100,000 members and are one of the largest women's voluntary service organisations in the world. In New Zealand there are 56 clubs and approximately 2000 members.

Meeting regularly builds and maintains friendships. At Matamata Inner Wheel we have a full and varied programme with speakers covering many different subjects. Clubs support International Inner Wheel's service project, their District's chosen charity and their own choice of overseas charities.

District meetings are held twice a year, National meetings biennially and International Conferences every 3 years.

All over the world Inner Wheel groups are undertaking projects which contribute to their communities.

Inner Wheel clubs also work with, and support, Rotary Clubs with their activities and events.

Each year there is a different international theme. The 2018-19 theme is  'Caring for Women and Children'.'

Matamata Inner Wheel meets on the 2nd Monday evening of the month.
Subscription is $55.00/year.
